5 part self-portrait Chuck Close, 2009
This photo is a self-portrait taken by Chuck Close in 2009. The jet black background makes it easier for the audience to focus on the subject and the black and white contrast brings out the features of the artist. Another interesting aspect of this photo is that the artist used different angles. I think that the artist's use of different perspectives brings out how he is open-minded and is able to see things from different perspectives.The artistic choices such as use of B&W, symmetry makes the photo outstanding.
